Introduction

For an SME whose need for world-class talent is in many ways greater than multinational companies as they don’t have large support systems like global HR, training budgets etc, how can it afford to hire MBA-type candidates? How to motivate them to work for SMEs? Whether to hire older experienced Chinese or younger talented but inexperienced Chinese?

During the seminar, Mr. Peter Bomer will focus on how to build a world-class team in China. Mr. Ruddy Swinnen will present you a motivation survey analysis and implications for HR practice.

Speakers

Mr. Peter Bomer Founder & CEO of Soulfire

Peter started his career in London as an independent concert promoter. He came to Asia in 2002 as Regional Marketing Director for Johnnie Walker Whisky and then became China Marketing Director for the parent company, Diageo Plc. In Feb 2007, Peter successfully secured funding for a new broadcast media company (SOULFIRE) to seize what he believes is a significant business opportunity in Chinese media.

Mr. Ruddy Swinnen General Manager of Competence China

Ruddy graduated from the university of Brussels. He is general manager of Competence China. He is a true specialist in recruitment, accessment and development. He will share his experience on employees' training and retention methods in China at the event.
